# Logging In To Plesk
Follow the steps below to login to plesk web hosting.
1\) Navigate to the [Plesk login page](https://plesk.volthosting.co.uk). \
2\) Login to your email inbox that you used to sign up to our [client area](https://billing.volthosting.co.uk).\
3\) Look for the Plesk Welcome Email:
4\) Once located the email, type in the username and password into the [login page](https://plesk.volthosting.co.uk/).
5\) Press Login and you're in!
# How to change your nameservers
If using our Plesk nameservers, set your nameserver to the below:\

To change your nameservers on a domain registered with us. Follow the steps below:

2\) Once logged in, navigate to the domain area.
3\) Click on the domain you want to change.
4\) Click on the Settings button.
5\) Click on nameservers
6\) Click on choose custom nameservers.
7\) Finally press "Change NameServers". And you're done!
# Connect Plesk Emails To IOS Device
Follow along to connect your PLESK email address to an IOS device.
This guide is assuming that you have already setup an email account on Plesk and you have the login details on hand...
1\) Open Settings then navigate to:\
Mail > Accounts > Add Account
2\) Select "Other" then "Add Mail Account".
3\) In the "Name" section. You can name it whatever name you'd like.
4\) In the "Email" section, you need to type in the full email address that you created before.
5\) In the "Password" section, you need to type in the password you created on creation.
6\) In the description box, you can type anything.
7\) Press Next
8\) Ensure that you have "IMAP" selected at the top of the page.
9\) In the "Incoming Mail Server", fill in the below:\
Host Name: vh-plesk01.volthosting.co.uk\
Username: YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS\
Password: YOUR PASSWORD
10\) Type the same into the "Outgoing Mail Server"
11\) Press "Next" then "Save"

# Connect cPanel Emails To ANDROID Device

2\) Once logged in, navigate to the domain area.
3\) Click on the domain you want to change.
4\) Click on the Settings button.
5\) Click on nameservers
6\) Click on choose custom nameservers.
7\) Finally press "Change NameServers". And you're done!
# Logging Into Your Windows VPS
Follow the steps below to login to Windows VPS.
By default RDP is enabled on our windows servers - this can be edited if you would like. This guide will show you how to connect via RDP.
1\) Locate the email sent to your email containing your username and password.
2\) Open RDP (if on windows) if on linux find another client like [FreeRDP](https://www.freerdp.com/).
3\) In the "Computer" box, type in the IP of the server (sent to your emails)
4\) You should see the page below, enter your password into the password box. If your username is not administrator, follow the steps 5-7, if not, skip to step 8.
5\) **\[If your username is not administrator]** Now press "More Choices".
6\) **\[If your username is not administrator]** Then press "Use a different account".
7\) **\[If your username is not administrator]** Finally, now type in your username and password.
8\) Press "ok" and you will connect to the server.
# How to allow ports through your firewall
Learn how to allow a port though your windows server firewall.
1\) [Log into your windows VPS via RDP.](/windows-vps-tutorials/untitled)
2\) Type "firewall" into the search bar and then click on "windows defender firewall".
3\) Now click on "advanced settings".
4\) Click on either "Imbound Rules" or "Outbound Rules" depending on which one you need. \
Then click on "new rule".
5\) Make sure you have the "port" selection selected.
6\) Select "TCP" or "UDP". If you need to allow both, you will have to make another rule (one for TCP and the other for UDP). \
Then type in what port you want to allow through. I've typed in the fivem default port.
However, you can allow more than one port though by using commas and dashes. \
For example, "30120, 40120" will allow ports 30120 and 40120 though. \
If you did "30120 - 30122" that would allow ports 30120, 30121 and 30122 through the firewall.
7\) Click on the option that most applies to you here. If you want to fully open the port, select the "Allow the connection" option.
8\) Here, select what applies to you. Normally, you would leave these all checked.
9\) Here, name the rule something you can remember as I have done below.
10\) You have now allowed the port(s) through your firewall!
# Logging Into Your Linux VPS
Follow the steps below to login to Linux VPS.
1\) Locate the email sent to your email containing your username. Your password will not be sent to you, you should have remembered it upon providing the password to the setup page.
2\) If on windows download [putty](https://www.putty.org/). If on Linux you can download an alternative or use the command line.
This tutorial will show you how to connect to your Linux server using Putty.
3\) Open Putty
4\) In the "Host Name (or IP address)" box, type in the IP that was sent to your email.
5\) Ensure that "SSH" is selected under "Connection Type".
6\) After ensuring putty is set up correctly with the port as "22", press "Open".
7\) You should see a window appear like so:
8\) Type in your username (default is root).
9\) Type in your password, note that you will not see any change when you type (as in no \*'s will appear. This is normal and continue to type in your password. If you want to paste your password in, click onto the window and right-click with your mouse to paste).
10\) Once you have typed in your password, press ENTER and you will login.
# How To Connect Using SFTP
A step by step guide on how to connect to a Linux server using SFTP.
Using FTP, you can easily access and alter your server files quickly. You can use an FTP client such as Filezilla or WinSCP to fulfil this action. Filezilla and WinSCP are programs that allow you to edit your server files as if the files were on your PC.
### Step 1: Installing an FTP Program
Firstly, you need an FTP program to connect with. We recommend Filezilla or WinSCP as they have the best features. WinSCP Download (Windows only): Filezilla Download (Windows, Mac): When downloading make sure you install the Client version, not the server version. Additionally, when installing them, ensure to decline any special offers or sponsored software.
### Step 2: Obtaining your SFTP details
Before you can start using your FTP client, it needs to know where to find your server files. To get your server's FTP details simply follow these steps:
1. Log-in to your emails
2. Find our email about your VPS creation.
3. Locate the username which should be "root".
4. Locate the password (which was what you entered on setup).
5. Locate the server IP address.
### Step 3: Connecting to your SFTP Area
1\) Open FileZilla
2\) Copy and paste the "IP" into the "Host" box.
3\) Copy and paste the "Username" into the "Username" box.
4\) Copy and paste or type your account password into the "Password" box.
5\) **\[Optional]** If the system hasn't already put in the port. Type "2024" into the "Port" box.
6\) Now press "Quickconnect".
7\) Now you're connected to your server!
# Logging Into Your Game Panel
Follow the steps below to log into our game panel.
1\) Navigate to our [game panel](https://panel.volthosting.co.uk/).
2\) Type in the email you used to sign up in the email box:
3\) Type your password into the password box:
4\) Once you have typed in your details. Press "Sign In":
5\) **\[Situational]** If you have enabled 2FA on your account before. You will need to type in your authenticator code:
6\) **\[Situational]** Now press "Submit" and you have logged into our panel!
# Changing Your Account Password
Here you can find out how to change your game hosting account password.
If you want to change your password on the [**game server hosting**](https://panel.volthosting.co.uk/) please follow the steps below:
1\) Login to the [game hosting management page](https://panel.volthosting.co.uk/).
2\) Once logged in, on the navigation bar, click "My Account".
3\) Scroll down until you find the "Update Password" section.
4\) Fill in the box's with the correct information and press submit.
You have now changed your password to the password you specified in the box.
# How To Rename Your Server
Servers on the panel can have custom names set to be more identifiable. You can change them from the default randomised characters to more identifiable names, especially if you're purchasing multiple services.
To do this, please follow the steps carefully:
1. Log in to the game hosting panel [https://panel.volthosting.co.uk](https://panel.volthosting.co.uk/)
2. Select the server you want to change the server name from the landing page.
3. On the sidebar, select "Settings" > "Server Name".
4. Enter a new name in the box then click save.
From now, the server is identifiable using that name across the whole panel.
# How To View Your Server ID
When requesting any form of support or query regarding a server on the panel, you must refer to the server by its server ID. The server ID is unique to the server and allows our support team to quickly locate precisely which server you are referring to for far faster support.\
\
The server ID (UUID) for the server can be found on "My Servers" > "Settings" under "Debug Infomation".
# How To Find or Create Additional Ports
If you'd like to use a plugin which requires an additional port, such as Votifier or DynMap, you'll need to use one of the few ports allocated to your server.
To view the ports allocated to your server:
1. Log in to the game hosting panel
2. Select the server you want to view the ports for from the panel landing page.
3. On the top bar, select network.
From here, you can view the allocations of the server, and change the primary port.
NOTE: Ensure to use the IP "0.0.0.0" when using any of the ports for any plugins, otherwise the plugin won't be able to bind to the address.\
NOTE: If you only have the max number of allocations, please [open a ticket](https://billing.volthosting.co.uk/submitticket.php) to request more. We do not charge for extra ports.
To create another allocation.
1. Click on "Network"
2. Click on "Create Allocation"
You should now have more allocations for your server.
# How To Connect Using SFTP
A step by step guide on how to connect to a game server using SFTP.

5\) **\[Optional]** If the system hasn't already put in the port. Type "2024" into the "Port" box.
6\) Now press "Quickconnect".
7\) Now you're connected to your server!

# Changing Your Minecraft Server Icon
### Prepare Your Icon
A server icon must follow three simple rules to be able to be used on a minecraft server.
1. The icon must be 64×64 pixels in size
2. The icon must be named server-icon
3. The icon must be in .PNG format
#### How to check the picture size
**Windows:**
1. Right Click the image and select Properties.
2. Select the Details tab on the top to view the dimensions.
\
**Mac:**
1. Right Click the image and select Get Info.
2. The dimensions will be listed under the More Info section.
\
If your image is not currently 64×64 pixels there are simple ways you can convert the dimensions! We recommend using Simple Image Resizer
#### How to resize the icon
1. Head to the resizing websites [here](http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/).
2. Click Select Image and find the icon you wish to use and hit Open.
3. You will now want to select the Dimensions instead of Percentage and enter 64 for the width and height. Then click Resize.
4. After a few seconds you should see a green box popup with a download button. Click download to get a new page with the resized icon.
5. Once on this page simply right-click and select Save Image As
\
Your server icon may not be following the proper naming conventions or file format at this point. If this is the case you will want to fix that when saving the resized image. If the Save as Type shows any format other than PNG image you will want to click the dropdown and select All Files. You will then want to enter the name you save it as to be **server-icon.png**. If the Save as Type is already PNG just set the name to server-icon.
Once this is complete you would have successfully resized, renamed, and formatted the image to work on your server. The next steps would be to upload the image directly into your server’s files.
### Upload to Your Server
Once you have a properly sized, named, and formatted image you will be able to then upload it to your server to let it start displaying in the server list.
1. Head to your control panel and stop your server.
2. To the left of the game panel, navigate the File Management tab.
3. To the left of the panel, you will see an upload button. Click this and then drag your image into the uploader.
Assuming all three of the criteria are met you will then be able to see your newly uploaded icon in-game when you ping the server in the multiplayer server list.
### Common Issues
**Server/Server List Refresh**
If you are not seeing the image display in your Minecraft server list you will want to be sure you have restarted the server after uploading as well as refresh the server list in-game. If it is still not showing you can also try re-adding the server to the list in-game. If it once again does not show then you most likely have encountered one of the following other issues.
**Incorrect Name**
Sometimes if you are renaming the file after it is already uploaded you might find that it is not correct. Since the file format, in this case .png, is included in the name on the panel you might forget to include it when renaming the file server-icon.
**Incorrect Size**
The image may not be displayed due to it being too large or too small. You can check the image dimensions on your PC in most cases by right-clicking and selecting Properties. Once this window is open you can then head to the details tab to see the image dimensions. Anything other than 64 pixels in width and height will not work on the server.
If the image is not the correct dimensions then you can use [this resizing site](http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/) to fix that.
